K&R Celebrates House of Startups Launch

On Saturday, June 2, Kaufhold & Reveillaud, Avocats, joined in the festivities at the official opening of Luxembourg’s House of Startups (HoST).

The launch of this massive facility, totaling nearly 6,000 square meters and ready to accommodate up to 200 startups, represents a major milestone for the local ecosystem.

The premises will house the Luxembourg House of Financial Technology (LHoFT), nyuko and the new Luxembourg City Incubator. By bringing all of these actors together, the HoST aims to better serve the nation’s startups by consolidating relevant resources in one place.

Events like the House of Startups launch remind us how far Luxembourg’s ecosystem has come in such a short amount of time.

This large-scale initiative symbolizes the country’s dedication to welcoming and supporting startups. Luxembourg’s rapidly-growing community of innovators rely on the right talents, means, programs and funding to succeed.

As a part of this movement, Kaufhold & Reveillaud, Avocats has developed a LEGAL LAUNCHPAD for startups. This dedicated service package takes into account unique startup needs and constraints.

“Events like the House of Startups launch remind us how far Luxembourg’s ecosystem has come in such a short amount of time,” said Nazim Faid, Senior Lawyer, Kaufhold & Reveillaud, Avocats. “Our firm enjoys supporting these entrepreneurs and innovative companies. We work hard to understand and address their needs.”

HRH the Grand Duke, HRH the Grand Duchess, Minister of Finance Pierre Gramegna and Deputy Prime Minister Etienne Schneider were among the notable guests present to celebrate the exciting launch.

When outlining this project, the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce focused on two priorities: attracting and developing startups, and connecting the HoST to the national ecosystem.

It hopes that this modern new campus, located near the central train station, will build upon Luxembourg’s momentum and help fortify the country’s position as a global innovation hub.

“To attract and develop startups Luxembourg needs to have the right support systems in place,” noted Faid. “We all have a part to play. By offering services designed for startups, we aim to contribute to that effort.”

The HoST embodies one of Luxembourg’s greatest strengths: collaboration. As government actors, private firms and academic programs come together to benefit startups, the entire economy benefits.
