St. Nicholas Stops by Kaufhold & Reveillaud, Avocats

The holidays arrived at Kaufhold & Réveillaud, Avocats last week with an annual St. Nicholas celebration.

On Friday, December 2, the firm invited 65 of its employees and partners to bring their families for an evening of festivities. Thirty-five children received toys and sweets straight from St. Nicholas himself.

The 12-year tradition, enjoyed by adults and children alike, gives colleagues the valuable opportunity to meet each other’s loved ones and children the chance to see where their parents work.

Every year, children across Luxembourg eagerly count down to the arrival of the Kleeschen (St. Nicholas) on December 6, who is often accompanied by the Houseker, his scary sidekick assigned to deal with those who have behaved badly.

To celebrate, the office opens its doors to welcome guests for food, drinks, treats and, of course, Christmas cookies.

The Kleeschen and Houseker arrived at 6pm and by the time they left every child had received a gift that his or her parents had helped select. Kaufhold & Réveillaud, Avocats looks forward to this yearly opportunity to thank its employees and partners for all that they contribute to the firm.

In the days leading up to December 2, the children were invited to write and send drawings to St. Nicholas. Their parents also submitted entries that he read aloud from his book, a moving touch that everyone enjoyed.

Further doses of holiday cheer are administered every December 6 throughout the office when each member of the firm arrives to a plate full of Christmas sweets, a 27-year-old tradition.

While the office throws other events throughout the year, including its upcoming employee Christmas party, the annual St. Nicholas celebration is particularly special because it brings everyone’s families together under one roof.
